COLTON HOLLIS
Elite Runner, Coach, Founder of Hollis Training Systems
Coach Colton Hollis grew up in a small town in eastern New Mexico. As the son of a D1 college baseball player and coach, playing sports and being competitive were a part of his upbringing. Colton broke into running his junior year of high school, and went on to set four school records, three district records, and placed in the top three at state in six events. After high school, he ran at South Plains College where he became a 4-time JUCO All-American. His biggest achievement was placing 7th at the 2014 JUCO National Half-Marathon championships and helping his team win the the national team title. His team recorded the best team score in JUCO history, a record which still stands today. After his collegiate career ended in 2016, Coach Hollis started experimenting with different training styles and methods, using his own body as the test subject. Through three years of trial and error, he discovered the methods which would form his clear and personalized training philosophy. This new approach to running proved successful in 2019, when Colton won the Mayor's Half Marathon in Lubbock, Texas, setting a new course record in the process. Colton founded Hollis Training Systems in 2020 with just one client, and has since seen his business continue to grow tremendously. Outside of running, Coach Hollis is a musician, recording artist, music producer, and most of all, he is a Christian. He credits his love and ability to run as a gracious gift from God.
